Who she is.
I’m a Senior Instructional Designer in the healthcare field, where I create engaging online learning experiences for nurses and providers. My work ranges from quick-hit tutorials on mobile apps to large-scale programs on leadership, grants, NICU care, and life-support. No matter the topic, I’m passionate about building learning that is clear, impactful, and tailored to the needs of busy professionals.
My love for design and education has been lifelong. Growing up, my parents encouraged me to explore creativity in every form, surrounding me with supplies and space to experiment. That early spark led me to the University of North Texas, where I studied under renowned sculptors Richard Davis and David Iles. I went on to earn both a BFA in Sculpture and a BBA in Marketing (with a concentration in research)—a pairing that gave me both the creative lens and the strategic mindset I bring to my work today.
I’ve had the privilege of working in dynamic environments across the arts, nonprofits, and start-ups. Early in my career, I worked with the Dallas Museum of Art and was part of the founding team at the Nasher Sculpture Center. Later, I returned to UNT to pursue a Master of Fine Arts, studying with Ana Lopez and master enamelist Harlan Butt. After graduation, I joined the faculty as a lecturing professor, where I introduced cutting-edge technologies to the classroom. I was the first in my department to integrate the university’s fabrication lab into course design, leveraging tools like 3D modeling, laser cutting, and 3D printing to create fresh learning experiences.
Although I loved teaching (and the tech toys that came with it), I transitioned to the corporate sector to reach broader audiences. While completing my M.Ed. in Instructional Design and Technology, I joined the start-up team at DSI, creating mobile learning solutions for AT&T’s nationwide sales force. Since then, I’ve continued to refine my expertise in adult learning and digital course design, building a career that blends creativity, technology, and education.
With over 10 years of experience designing and teaching courses for adults, I believe the future of training lies in personalized learning powered by technology. Today, I’m especially excited about the possibilities of AI efficiencies and AR/VR learning to make education more immersive, adaptive, and learner-centered.
At my core, I’m a designer, an educator, and a lifelong learner. My goal is simple: to create meaningful learning experiences that empower people to grow, perform, and succeed.
