I worked my through my undergrad degree at a travel agency where I became PASSIONATE about travel and, by association, its advertisements. My influences and preferred styles are rather varied. They include Danish Modern and Japanese minimalism, 1950's color palettes, and pre-WWI color lithography.
The images I created were made with a combination of Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. More samples available upon request.
I use Adobe Illustrator regularly.
The program is so powerful, it isn't just for web or print.
Below is a bamboo piece laser etched with a scanning electron micrograph (SEM) image I took of a rose petal.
The laser cutter can cut lines so closely that I could bend plywood into acute angles for my Scent Shrine Series.
The cuts are 1.5mm apart creating a pattern called a "living hinge"
The crisp lines of vectors were needed for several of my chemical resist designs. The images were printed reversed on PNP paper, burnished onto metal, then dipped in acid. Whatever is exposed is "eaten away" leaving texture pockets to be filled with resin or enamel
